Abstract: The aim of this article is to discursively analyze the qualitative results of PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment) in order to better understand the educational context in Brazil referred to fake news and post democracy and to point out how these results can help us to undertake public policies to improve education issues in Brazil. Theoretically, we rely on the Foucauldian concept of discourse. The corpus consists of discourses of PISA in Focus, short texts available on the OECD website and also on INEP-Brazil on the qualitative results of the answers to the questionnaires applied to the students. For the analysis it was chosen PISA in Focus 113 that intended to answer the following question: Are 15-year-olds prepared to deal with fake news and misinformation? The analysis, conducted by discursive lenses, demonstrates the importance of understanding the order of fake news discourse by teachers in a way of providing students with mechanisms to distinguish between fake news and truths. We concluded that Brazil has yet a long way to advance in relation to other countries in terms of an education that enables students to distinguish between fake and true news. These results can help us to direct public policies to better prepare students for reading in the virtual world in a way to prepare them to be well-informed citizens and to preserve democratic values.

Abstract: Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) systems such as ChatGPT, which create new educational content based on their training data, have led to debates on the systems’ impact on educational practice and the question of whether academia should embrace or reject these tools. Flipped learning is a pedagogical approach that reverses the traditional order of teaching and learning. Instead of receiving direct instruction in the classroom, students are introduced to the learning material before class. This study explores the potential of modified flipped learning as an approach to mitigate the effects of GAI on education. The study highlights the relevance and importance of flipped learning and GAI in the 21st-century educational landscape and proposes a modified flipped learning model that combines the individualized and active learning aspects of flipped learning with the adaptive capabilities of GAI. The study also addressed concerns related to the responsible use of GAI, ethical considerations, and the role of educators in guiding students’ interactions with intelligent systems. In conclusion, the proposed modified flipped learning model would empower students to actively engage in the learning process and take ownership of their education by replacing the traditional role of the teacher with the use of GAI systems for pre-class activities and content creation. However, further research is needed to explore the effectiveness of flipped learning in this context and identify the best ways to implement this approach in the classroom.

Abstract: Blended learning is an innovative educational practice in the development process of intelligent education. Teachers continuously experiment and learn from their experiences in blended learning environments to find a widely implemented teaching model. Two essential factors influencing the promotion of blended learning are digital teaching resources and teacher motivation. However, the purpose, content, and development of digital teaching resources supplied in a blended education environment have changed dramatically. There is an urgent need to rethink the impact of digital teaching resources on teacher motivation. This study explores the positive role of digital teaching resources on teacher motivation in blended learning environments. A survey on the factors influencing blended learning practices involved 365 secondary school teachers. The regression and path analysis results indicate that digital teaching resources are central to enhancing teacher motivation in blended learning environments. There are differences in the effects of practical experience on digital teaching resources and teacher motivation. While digital learning platforms only influence the external motivation of teachers, they do not significantly impact internal motivation. School administrators are responsible for coordinating digital teaching resources and teacher motivation. The study recommends further improving and optimizing digital educational systems to promote blended learning, thereby enhancing the durability and stability of teacher motivation.

Abstract: In the recent years, foreign language teaching in China pays more attention on college students’ cognitive ability instead of their learning emotions, which causes the lack of college students’ achievement emotions in foreign language learning. This paper studies college students’ achievement emotions in foreign language learning from an ecological perspective. The achievement emotion is an important emotional factor that affects the effect of college students’ foreign language learning which stimulates and cultivates students’ achievement emotions in foreign language learning. This paper aims to analyze the development of college students’ achievement emotions from an ecological perspective and explore the reasons for the lack of achievement emotions in foreign language learning for college students and the ways to cultivate the achievement emotions. It is found that the main reasons include outdated foreign language learning model, large gap in the level of foreign language learning, college students’ autonomous learning ability restricted by foreign language teaching environment, decreased foreign language learning interest and self-confidence of college students, and imperfect college foreign language teaching evaluation system. Finally, this paper proposes ways for cultivating college students’ achievement emotions from the ecological perspective: enriching the classroom physical environment and teaching mode and laying the cornerstone of independent foreign language learning, optimizing the psychological environment and strengthening the awareness of independent foreign language learning, building a foreign language learning community and creating a broad environment for independent foreign language learning, creating good independent foreign language learning with ecological balance, increasing self-confidence and interest in foreign language learning by removing learning obstacles, and developing a diversified evaluation system to increase achievement emotions in foreign language learning.

Abstract: At present, despite many efforts to cultivate critical thinking and open dialogue within university courses, it is important to acknowledge that there exist challenges relating to 'hard integration' and 'one-sidedness' in current ideological and political education, which fails to achieve the same direction between curriculum and ideological and political education. Students have not obtained the necessary three-dimensional improvement in knowledge, skills, and literacy in professional courses, and the classroom effect of ideological and political education needs to be improved. The rapid development of digital education to high-quality development has effectively proposed some solutions to weak ideological and political awareness among teachers and the lack of guarantee for personalized development of students in current university education. With the help of digital tools, through the construction of smart teaching, digital personalized education and collaborative education through industry and smart teaching, teachers can break the limitations of traditional teaching and provide students with a wealth of learning resources and interactive learning experiences. Students can experience a more comprehensive and personalized learning approach. This not only improves learning effectiveness but also enhances student engagement. The integration of digital technology and education can actively promote the linkage between "curriculum ideology" and "ideological and political education courses," effectively enhance the value of nurturing students and promote comprehensive development of university students.

Abstract: This paper aims at investigating the essence of a manager’s capacity to innovate through the acquisition of knowledge from his or her network of relationships, in the Ghanaian context, particularly, the fashion and apparel design industry. Dynamic capabilities are ‘strategic’ and distinct from ordinary capabilities. Most Chief executive officers (CEOs) of Ghanaian fashion companies tend to play the role of managers, even though they may not have the right capabilities that enable them to create the right products and target the right markets to address the consumer needs with a good strategy for a competitive edge. Using qualitative research design, we focused on discovering and understanding the lived experiences, views and perspectives of participants. An inductive approach was employed by using a semi structured face-to-face interview format to solicit responses from10 managers purposively sampled from the fashion design industry who are involved in social networking. Qualitative data was analysed using the qualitative analysis tool NVivo to bring out themes, patterns and trends in the thematic analysis. Findings showed how essential it is for managers of fashion companies to have dynamic capabilities that will enable them drive their fashion and apparel training hubs forward.
