Abstract: COVID-19 pandemic still impact higher education system, stakeholders and environment all around the world. Students, teachers, academic institutions and education decision makers were shocked by an atypical new context they promptly put in face, asking drastic change in behavior and procedures at individual, familial and institutional levels. Full lockdown and closing campuses enforced students and teachers staying and sticking home, fronting unusual domestic for work atmosphere and unacquainted online learning and teaching technologies. Consequent back to classroom framework also imposes new sanitary and social distancing conditions leading to new teaching and learning habits that affected in many ways the performance of teaching. The aim of this paper is to apprehend all the challenges that may arise in similar critical situations to make convenient decisions helping to avoid the education system shutdown or to benefit from the previous experience to adapt future behaviors and perform tools and practices. For such purpose, the present paper reviews all the determinant factors of the teaching performance in both alternative online and classroom modes of dispensing courses in the COVID-19 Lebanese context, using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling approach (PLS-SEM). It appears that all manifest variables corresponding to latent variables have a reflective measurement model. After the convergence of the algorithm of Partial Lest Square (PLS), the structural path significance test of both inner and outer model is verified by a bootstrap procedure with 1000 subsamples.

Abstract: The petroleum and chemical industry is one of the basic industries of China's national economy and an important part of the real economy. Nowadays, it is facing safety, environment, and health issues. The enhancement of chemical engineering ethics is one of keys to solving these problems. It strongly appeals to the education of chemical engineering ethics and thus cultivation of engineering talents with strong engineering ethics concepts and green chemical technology. This paper briefly analyzes the new requirements for engineering ethics education in the training of chemical engineers, discusses the current problems in engineering ethics education during chemical engineering internships, and proposes that effective ethical education in chemical engineering should adhere to the principle of "Three integrations". First, the integration of education and cultivation can be accomplished by combining ethics education with the cultivation of students, with the fundamental objective of engineering ethics education being the cultivation of students. Furthermore, the synthesis of principles and skills can be achieved through the amalgamation of ethics and professional education, with green chemical technology serving as a significant avenue for addressing engineering ethical concerns. Third, the integration of theory and practice can be achieved by the combination of engineering ethics theory and practical education, instilling in students a heightened awareness of adhering to engineering ethics.

Abstract: Today’s foreign language teaching has entered into a multi-modal stage, emphasizing the combination of linguistic intelligence and other intelligence. To improve the quality of picture books and teenagers’ second language learning, this study chooses two sets of picture books, i.e., China Reader in English and New Shuangshuang Chinese Textbook in Chinese, to make a comparative analysis on the basis of the multiple intelligence theory. The characteristics of each set of children books are summarized and the comparison is conducted in three aspects: theme selection, vocabulary arrangement and graphic & textual design. The comparative data indicate that picture books compiling involves stimulation of different types of intelligence of the teenage readers. Specifically, proper selection of natural themes and narrative perspective enhances readers’ natural intelligence and interpersonal intelligence; the suitable utilization of daily words and the addition of context can mobilize motor intelligence, interpersonal intelligence and existential intelligence of readers; the optimization of graphic & textual design can make full use of readers’ visual-spatial intelligence. When multiple intelligence of readers are triggered, picture books might effectively achieve the effective language development and holistic education among the target teenagers. At the end, this study provides some suggestions for future improvement of Chinese children books. Firstly, more ecological and environmental protection themes could be chosen to emphasize harmony between humanity and nature. Secondly, the recurrence rate of keywords and daily vocabulary should be increased in order to improve readers’ communication skills. Finally, the graphic & textual layout as well as the overall design of picture books should be enhanced so that the aesthetic quality of the picture books could be achieved.

Abstract: It is of high theoretical and practical significance to improve the teaching quality of young teachers in local universities and to give consideration to the dual role of self and talent. Based on this, in order to improve the teaching literacy of young teachers, using a qualitative method based on grounded theory, this study has formulated a structural framework of capability for teachers by virtue of connotative discussion, data collection, and coding. The data were collected by ethnography, in-depth interviews and text analysis. The coding process included initial coding, focus coding and theoretical coding. Instructional Capability refers to synthesis of varying degrees of capability, which influences teaching effectiveness in education Students' comprehensive quality and understanding of their own professional progress. Concretely, Instructional capability is a spectrum of interaction among required knowledge, skills and Attributes, which are developed in acquisition and practices of effective instructions and related activities. Teachers, who are in infiltrated in 3D Environments including Material information, psychology and social relationship, interactive sustainability and repeat with multiple Elements to constantly developer and constructed individual in constructional capabilities. The structure framework is grounded in the instructional understanding and hands - on experience from teachers of local undergraduate Universities, with emphasis on operability as well. Particularly, it is described as the following: the first layer is three horizontal dimensions which personal basic characteristics, social practice effect, school teaching environment and teaching system of young teachers influence their teaching literacy with different action mechanisms. As a significant Presentation of teachers' inner structure, instructional capabilities can grow with the development of knowledge content, teaching skills and professional attributes, and it is an outcome of triadic synergy of the three. The second layer is seven primary competitions, named "scholarship base". The third layer is based on behavioral analysis covering 4 specific actors. Inspire of the preliminary nature of this study, hopefully, the schema of applications values in further improving institutional construction in educators' qualification, promoting the scientific management of researchers, defining the orientation and function of each development organizations in universities, better adapting to the subjective demand of professionalization as well as improving the actual quality of teaching.

Abstract: This study aims to describe the pattern of categorization of the certainty of career plan choices for educational program students and its relationship with their demographic characteristics. Respondents totaled 377 people (male = 176 and famale = 201) who were drawn randomly from a number of education program students at the University of Lampung. Data on the certainty of students' career plan choices is collected through the CCCS (Career Choice Certainty Scale). The research found that in general the categorization of the certainty of education students' career plan choices is patterned Quite Certain, Not Certain, Certain, Very Certain, Uncertain, and Very Uncertain. In detail, the pattern of categorization of the certainty of students' career plan choices varies according to the grouping of their demographic characteristics (gender: male and female, place of residence: urban and suburban, study program: scientific and social, and family socio-economic status: high, medium, low). The results of examining the relationship between the categorization of the certainty of career plans and students' demographic characteristics, it turns out that where they live, the chosen study program, and the socio-economic status of students' families are significantly related to the certainty of their career choice plans, although the strength of the relationship between these variables is categorized as weak. Meanwhile, the student gender variable was not significantly related to the certainty of their career choice plans.
