Abstract: The authors of this work formulated in their studies the content of the concept of physical fitness and health competence of future specialists in the nuclear industry as an integral characteristic of a person, reflecting the formation of recreational and health and rehabilitation competencies; competencies in the field of maintaining a healthy lifestyle; possession of means of independent, methodically competent use of methods of physical education and health promotion, in addition, its structural components are determined on the basis of a systematic approach. At the same time, the introduced definition is the starting point for the continuation of the further scientific search for an effective model for the formation of sports and fitness competence of future specialists in the nuclear industry. The presented study is devoted to the design and theoretical substantiation of the structural-functional model of the process of formation of fitness and fitness competence of these specialists. Moreover, models are a demonstrative tool for the functioning of a certain object (system), illustrating the basic norms and rules of its behavior. The methodological basis of the study was made up of pedagogical modeling, systemic, activity-based, interdisciplinary, integrative and competency-based approaches. The principles on the basis of which the formation of the studied competency is carried out are determined: systematic and systematic; professional orientation, developing and educating training, science and communication with practice; combination of individual and collective forms of learning, integrativity. A structural and functional model for the formation of physical fitness and health competence of future specialists in the nuclear industry has been developed and theoretically justified, including interdependent and interconnected blocks: target, theoretical, methodological, structural and functional, substantive-technological, resultant-criterion, correctional and managerial, as well as block pedagogical conditions, designed to ensure the effective formation of this competency.
Abstract: The authors of this work formulated in their studies the content of the concept of physical fitness and health competence of future specialists in the nuclear industry as an integral characteristic of a person, reflecting the formation of recreational and health and rehabilitation competencies; competencies in the field of maintaining a healthy lif...

Abstract: Learning autonomy is a hot research topic in the field of foreign language education in recent years. It emphasizes that learners should learn to manage their own learning process in order to improve their autonomous learning ability. Even though scholars have different understandings about learner autonomy, they all agree that promoting learner autonomy is an important goal of foreign language education. For English major students in China, there is a great necessity to cultivate their learning autonomy due to the rapid development of information society, the goal of modern foreign language education, the particularity of language learning, and even the individual differences between language learners. However, the status quo of Chinese English major students’ learning autonomy is worrying. They not only lack the awareness of learning autonomy, but also lack the abilities of interaction and cooperation. Furthermore, they have a poor use of language learning strategies and poor abstract thinking ability and self-control. Based on the necessity and status quo of English major students’ learning autonomy in China, this paper puts forward many measures for cultivating English majors’ autonomous learning abilities. From the perspective of school education system and environment, measures like giving English teachers greater autonomy in teaching, the reform of graded teaching for English majors, and establishing autonomous learning centers for English major students are recommended. From the perspective of teachers and classroom teaching, the measures include improvement of English teachers’ awareness of learning autonomy, the change of English classroom teaching model, and guidance and training of systematic learning strategies. From the perspective of students and extracurricular learning, the following measures can be taken, which are strengthening of students’ awareness of being independent, effective use of various learning resources and cooperative learning, and being a reflective learner.

Abstract: The zone of proximal development (ZPD) is a constructivist concept associated with learning processes involving the participation of a mediator or facilitator. In a previous study, our group developed an observation model that can be used to study learning processes of this type by measuring the fine skills involved in the selective disposal of Urban Solid Waste, a topic of environmental education involving numerous difficulties. We also developed an approach to evaluate the occurrence of a ZPD event using a mathematical problem-solving example. Combining both proposals, we carried out a quasi-experimental exercise in 2017, in which we tried to observe a zone of proximal development process in the resolution of two problems involving the selective disposal of Urban Solid Waste, one of them of very high difficulty and the other of moderate difficulty. The present work aims to show why selective disposal is a difficult and complicated environmental task. We worked with two groups of university students, a "control" group and a "quasi-experimental" group, with forty members each. We were able to verify the occurrence of a ZPD process in some participants of the "quasi-experimental" group.

Abstract: In kindergarten inclusive classes, the consciousness of initiative communication for most of the autistic children is weak, while initiative communication is precisely one of the indispensable conditions for autistic children to integrate into their classes. Minzhi Road Kindergarten of Suzhou has been devoted over years to the experimental research of pre-school inclusive education for autistic children, and has thus accumulated ample experimental experiences and case study materials. By adopting a variety of research methods including observation, interview, case study, etc., this study takes action research on several individuals previously and currently still enrolled in the kindergarten, and adjusts constantly the interventional programs of promoting initiative communication of autistic children. Eventually this study summarizes three strategies for promoting initiative communications amidst autistic children in kindergarten inclusive education: (1) Understanding the essence of “snatching” behaviors of autistic children and delivering communication skills; (2) Promoting initiative communication for autistic children through inspiration of internal needs to “participate”; (3) Fostering their communication confidence by way of building a performance platform for “advantages” of autistic children. This action research indicates that appropriate strategical interventions from teachers in inclusive classes can promote the initiative communication of autistic children and improve their relationships with peers. Suggestions about further study in the future are discussed in the end.
