Abstract: At present, there are still some problems in many remote rural primary schools, such as the shortage of high-quality teacher resources, single curriculum structure and content, and lagging educational information. Under the background of "Internet Plus Education", the development of information technology has greatly promoted the vigorous rise of informal education, and education has gradually entered the information age. At the same time, the gradual popularization of network technology also provided a brand-new opportunity for the development of rural education, and distance support education came into being and developed rapidly. In this study, the Distance Support Education Project of A University was taken as a case, and the data are collected through in-depth interviews with principals and teachers from remote rural primary schools and volunteers from distance support education projects. Based on the analysis of the existing curriculum structure and content of rural primary schools and the interview data, this study attempts to summarize the three types of curriculum that currently exist in distance support education: Assisted courses, Enhanced courses, and Extended courses, and explore a relatively ideal teaching curriculum model to achieve the ultimate expectation of distance support education. Namely, the fundamental purpose of distance support education is not to provide direct assistance to rural schools or rural students, but to find the direction for the independent development of rural schools, to realize the "symbiotic" development of rural schools, rural students, and volunteers from college, thus hoping to truly improve the quality of rural education.

Moreover, it explores conditions that promote the academic performance of students. Both quantitative and qualitative methods were employed to achieve the research objectives. The study participants were 204 students from divorced parents, 4 school counselors and 10 divorced parents (student’s parents). The students from divorced parents were taken using available sampling technique while divorced parents were conveniently taken and school counselor were taken purposively as samples. The students given questionnaire and face-to-face interviews were held with the divorced parents and the school counselors. Data from the quantitative survey were analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation and t-test. The qualitative data were analyzed using direct quotation. The paired t-test group comparison showed statistically significant mean difference on academic performance of students before and after their parental divorce. Students had higher academic performance before their parental divorce. However, there was no statistically significant mean difference across gender. It was recommended that appropriate care and support to enhance the psychological wellbeing of the children, prioritization children during and after divorce, and co-parenting after divorce were forwarded to enhance academic performance of these students.

Abstract: The green engineering education plays an important role in sustainable development. Motivated by government, industry, and missions of university, the concept of green engineering has been introduced and then gradually enhanced in chemical engineering program at East China University of Science and Technology over these years. Now it becomes an essential part in the curriculum. The green engineering education has been presented in a number of ways including standalone courses, integration into the courses, and modules in experimental, design and practice. There are 5 required standalone courses and 1 elective related to the green engineering in chemical engineering program, and also a series of electives for general education on a green engineering platform at the university level. In the meanwhile, the 12 principles of green engineering have been analyzed and presented by the core courses such as transfer process, separation process, chemical reaction engineering, chemical engineering technology, and chemical engineering design in chemical engineering program. In addition, the green engineering education has been presented by some modules in different kinds of practice, which include experimental, design and practice in the field. All the specified principles have been matched with specific courses. The ability related to green engineering education has been analyzed and assessed by course assessment records and survey from alumni (or senior students), teachers and employers. Both of them indicate that the ability can meet the criteria. This curriculum can be a prototype, for those programs in the developing process of green engineering education within a global, environmental, economic, and societal context.

As the leader of primary education, secondary education and vocational education, higher education plays the role of "fuel", "power" and "accelerator" in the modernization of any country. Higher education institutions have trained a large number of highly educated and high-quality talents, and these highly educated talents have become pioneers and leaders in the economic development of various countries and regions. At the same time, higher education promotes the construction of high-quality scientific research institutions, and researchers quickly transform scientific research achievements and effective patents into products and enter the market, thus promoting the global economic development. In this paper, the importance of higher education and its historical origin, which first appeared in the world, in the development of human society is thoroughly demonstrated, so as to prove the practical significance that the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in China must quickly form a higher education cluster.

Abstract: Theoretical background: An awareness of the operation of factors of the hidden curriculum is a precondition for an effective and professional adult education practice. A hidden curriculum comes to bear on the work process, content, procedures and routines, it can also be understood as the “battleground” of various competing influences and ideologies that appears in a hidden manner. Method: We use the meta-synthesis research design. The main goal of a meta-synthesis was building theory by refining or extending existing theory and generating a new theory. Results: On the basis of the research findings, we develop guidelines for researching and directing the hidden curriculum and subjective theories that are based on action research, evaluation research and research following the method of the deconstruction and redefinition of the personal thinking and beliefs that guide the individual’s professional activity on the basis of processes of critical awareness and reflection.
