The Confucius Institute in Zimbabwe has played an important role in nurturing talent. It has developed various programmes and ways to train talents. The training of these talents helps to promote innovation, cooperation and mutual benefits for both countries. This research aims to find out how the Confucius Institute is performing a role in talent training through Chinese language and culture teaching in Zimbabwe. Qualitative research method-interviewing and observation is implemented to obtain information, a critical analysis of the information collected about the talent cultivation at the Confucius Institute in Zimbabwe. The purpose of this study is to find out what role the Confucius Institute plays in training talent through the teaching of Chinese language and culture in Zimbabwe. Qualitative research methods - interview and observation are used to obtain information, and this study critically analyse the information collected about talent development at the Confucius Institute in Zimbabwe. In 2007, the Confucius Institute at the University of Zimbabwe began recruiting students for Bachelor of Arts, Tourism and Hospitality programmes. It has trained many excellent local Chinese teachers, tutors and translators. Despite the success in training these talents, there are challenges that limit the performance and full success of talent development and the quality of collaboration; these issues need to be reconsidered and resolved. There is still a need to reform the teaching infrastructure and create post-training opportunities for talent to achieve effective and successful outcomes.

Abstract: Nowadays, a wide range of technology is used in the most varied areas of practical life. This phenomenon, which has its bases solidified in various business instruments, whether public or private, both have important institutional consequences in the information society. Such a society is characterized by access to compiled data and the treatment of these data in the production of information systems. All this phenomenology leads us to understand the bias of this expansion in the labor market and the counterpoint of this with the expansion of Digital Law, which, in short, offers a broader space and with demands from internal substitutes more connected to the information society and the desires of these and its simplest peculiarities within the spectrum of its socio-legal nature. The objective of the work is to realign the properties of information systems within the perspective of digital law, which aims to guarantee the legal relationship of this spectrum in civic life. the specificities of this objective range from gratitude for the privacy of data, its treatment and usability of information to the breadth of human knowledge and connection with the digital reality of the globalized world. The inductive method is used, where particular ideas encourage us to list general points in the study link on the topic. Research was also carried out, through bibliographic and documentary techniques that preliminarily converge to the subject in question, allowing an expanded and connected view of digital law and reality in various information subsystems. The conclusion that was built from the elements translated in the research clipping allows us to infer that digital law is a random process and that it will contribute to the development of new utilities of law in the area of knowledge in order to safeguard the very elements of digital law as an organized entity.

Abstract: The enrollment of children to use as soldiers is a widespread phenomenon. Africa is the most involved continent of the child-soldiers problem, with more than 100 thousand minors that are being used in wars between different States, even if the biggest army composed of children is present in Myanmar. This issue was faced for the first time in 1977 with the Additional Protocols to the Geneva Convention of 1949, relating to the protection of victims in international armed conflicts. The International Convention on the Rights of Child of 1989 provides that States Parties shall refrain from recruiting any person who has not attained the age of fifteen years into their armed forces. In 1996, the report, titled "The impact of armed conflicts on children", has become an official document of the UN. After that, the UN Resolution n. 1261 of 1999 has formally put the problem of children involved in military operations on the agenda of the Security Council because it is a matter concerning the maintenance of peace and international security. But only in 2002, the Optional Protocol to the International Convention on Children's rights has been enacted in relation to the use of children in armed conflicts. It prohibits the use of children and adolescents under 18 in any hostility and requests to the States to bring to eighteen years the age limit for enrollment or direct involvement in conflicts, raising the age for voluntary enrollment above 15 years old like it is today. Also the UN Resolution n. 1612 of 2005 ordered a monitoring and communication activity to the Security Council on the use of child-soldiers and on other abuses inflicted on minors in times of war. Furthermore, article 8 of the Statute of the International Criminal Court includes among war crimes, the conscription and the enrollment of children under 15 years old in armed forces and their active participation in hostilities. Moreover, notwithstanding all these important initiatives, today the legal protection of children involved in armed conflicts remain still fragile and ineffective.

Abstract: Family planning is the most effective method to control the continuing growth of the population. Ethiopia is currently one of the fastest growing countries in the world, with a growth rate of 3.02% per year. In the next forty to fifty years, Ethiopia is predicted to account for a significant portion of the population growth expected throughout Africa. According to Ethiopia Mini Demographic and Health Survey (EMDHS) 2019, the intended use of family planning is only 36% in the country. Therefore, this study aimed to assessing the socio-demographic determinants of use of family planning among the community and regions in Ethiopia. A total of five thousand four hundred forty-three women in the age group 15 to 49 years were considered in the final data analysis. Descriptive statistics, chi-square test of independency and multilevel random coefficient model were used in the study. Sixty-four percent of the eligible women who were included in the study did not use family planning. The outcome also shows that regional and community differences accounted for almost 20% (18.6) and 22.2% (14.1) of the variation in family planning use, respectively. Women’s preceding birth interval, residence (rural/urban), their educational level, number of living children, wealth status, educational level of their husbands, currently wanted pregnancy, sex of household head, their employment status, regions and exposure to mass media have been identified as an important determinant of intended use of family planning among women of Ethiopia. To address identified concerns and assure improved levels of family planning use, decisive action is needed. This action may include educational intervention, ongoing monitoring and evaluation of family planning services, and scheduling training for providers. This information is crucial for developing strategic policies and raising the standard of family planning services. This research is crucial for developing strategic policies and raising the standard of family planning services. To ensure the success of the national family planning initiatives, the government and relevant organizations must put plans into place that target these effects.

Abstract: Smart homes are characterized by the integration of technology and services using home networking, with the goal of improving the overall quality of life. When designing these intricate systems, it is important to consider the experiences and needs of the occupants. Smart homes consist of various devices that offer comfort, security, convenience, energy efficiency, and promote intelligent living. These devices communicate and interact with each other, forming a connected ecosystem. In order to ensure prompt assistance during emergencies such as fires, medical emergencies, or distress calls, interactivity and technology within smart homes should enable emergency service providers to quickly respond. To achieve this, a modeling language that supports the semantic aspect is employed, allowing for modeling that closely aligns with end user requirements. This language typically utilizes the concept of ontology. However, the use of ontologies in smart home design is still limited in current research. As a result, this paper aims to enhance the EUPont ontology by integrating Arduino devices and implementing an algorithm that simplifies the analysis of detected alarm signals and user decision-making. The execution of this algorithm relies on the definition of several SWRL rules (Semantic Web Rule Language).
