Novel Corona Virus Covid-19: Impact on Economic Development and Mitigating Solution for Developing Countries

Abstract: The outbreak of coronavirus named COVID-19 has disrupted the developing countries economy highly. According to World Health Organization (WHO) there have been 4,660,658 confirmed cases of COVID 19, including 309,710 death till May 16, 2020 globally. And 78,280 Confirmed cases and 2,624 Number of deaths in Africa. Data for the study was generated from desk review of secondary materials, online blogs and interview through social media chat. Findings of the study reveal that the outbreak and spread of covid-19 disease led to rapid shutdowns in cities and states across the country, which greatly affected the economic development. The evolution of the disease and its economic impact is highly uncertain which makes it difficult for policymakers to formulate an appropriate macroeconomic policy response. The article describes the impact of the COVID-19 virus on the economic development of developing countries and its mitigating solution. The scenarios in this paper demonstrate that even a contained outbreak could significantly impact the developing countries economy in the short run. These scenarios demonstrate the scale of costs that might be avoided by greater investment in public health systems in all economies but particularly in less developed economies where health care systems are less developed and population density is high. Among the suggested policy solutions are: proactive management approaches, health policy framework addressing many of the social determinants of health, education and health literacy, national and international shifts in investments, public and private partnerships and the establishment of the Developing countries Technical Council on Coronavirus. Effective implementation of these policy solutions will require full support of all stakeholders, including governments, the media, non- governmental organizations, health professionals, communities, and individuals.

Abstract: The paper explores the critical reflection of the exploitation of the natural environment, specifically forest in Omo-river valley areas. Forests and trees have been destructed and cut down of trees, for charcoal business to fulfill their personal financial/economic interest. The researchers also disclosed the multiple impacts of the cut down of trees and forests for charcoal trade. Hence, the researchers attempts to critically understand and analyze such over exploitation of land and natural environment. In this paper, the researchers explained the genuine causes of the charcoal production beyond the immediate benefit they could get. Accordingly, the researchers found both the anthropocentric and divine approaches of environment problematic and factors for the exploitation of the natural environment. In this paper, the central emphasis is the unwise utilization of the environment for different purpose (which we can call it violation of rights of the non-human creatures from the view point of the biocentrism perspective; the diversified species who live in the area and the destruction of the forest coverage for the sake of temporary economic gain) Generally, to solve the problem the researchers came up with Aldo Leopold’s new environmental argument of the “land ethic” and other apparatuses of environmental conversation. With this regard Leopold’s argument of “land ethic” argued that, our approach towards the land, and natural environment should be those are the environment friendly strategies and holistic reforms to be taken by the government and specifically optional energy sources for the society.

Abstract: At the end of the 20th century, with the rapid development of modern science and technology, the world has entered an Internet era, and a new mainstream medium -- network language has emerged. In this Internet age, Chinese Internet language has gone through such a process: from extensive to standard and orderly, from transmitting negative energy to advocating positive energy, and from immature at the beginning to mature today. A review of the "top ten Internet expressions of the year" released by the China language resources monitoring and research center from 2015 to 2019 shows that most of these Internet buzzwords are closely related to social life, and the number of cyber languages that embody core socialist values has also increased significantly. For example, the "top 10 cyber languages" in 2019 reflects this feature. In terms of its annual network buzzwords, much of which comes from the social life and political events, positive energy is the main melody, it has showed people not only pay attention to own life, also pay attention to the social life, and the thought and behavior also gradually return to unity, made the network language toward the right direction of healthy and orderly development. Of course, cyber language has also brought some bad effects, but we should not give up eating for fear of choking, we should give correct guidance, because it is still in the process of constant development and change, so the country will always be on the road to its regulatory norms.
