Abstract: The rapid global population growth and increasing impacts of climate change have resulted water and food shortage. Due to the increasing pressure from anthropogenic activities the terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems and their interrelation are largely disrupted. As the result, the benefit we get from the ecosystem has reduced, this calls for a shift in the management of ecosystems and the use of water for food security. The objective of this study was focus Ecological Benefits of Participatory Watershed Management Practice; Case Study of Chenetaly Watershed, Guagusa Shikudad Woreda, Amhara Regional State, Ethiopia. The data were collected from 84 randomly selected households through household survey. In addition to household survey, focus group discussion, key informant interview and observation were used to collect additional data and used for triangulation and present detail explanations. Relevant information was also gathered from secondary sources (e.g., watershed management planning and implementation documents and annual reports) available in Guagusa Shiudad Woreda Agricultural Office. Based on the result Chenetaly watershed was severely degraded due to inappropriate cultivation, over grazing, gully formation and deforestation factors before the implementation of watershed management practices. Due to presence of high watershed degradation, there was high ecological high decline of ecological balance like soil formation and gully formation. To overcome this problem, watershed management program was introduced in Chenetaly Watershed and many physical and biological conservation measures were highly practiced to reduce soil erosion, rehabilitate gully formation and decrease loss of soil fertility. The finding of this study confirmed that the introduction of watershed management has been brought some important changes in local ecosystem. Some of the major ecological changes include decrease in soil degradation, increase soil capability and agricultural productivity, increase forest rehabilitation and firewood availability; increase the availability of grass and other livestock fodder. Based on the finding of study the following conclusion has made participatory watershed management can play significant role to improve the ecological condition of the area. Based on foundation of study I recommend that effective watershed management intervention has been undertaken in Chenetaly Watershed such best practices should extend to neighboring watersheds.

Abstract: For the present generations, it is important to know not only what historical work the national political elite has done, but also what they have become as figures. Because in the entire civilized society, each generation can deeply understand its own peculiarity, its historical duty and its tasks through the study of such problems in the context of historical knowledge. Alikhan Bukeikhanov at the beginning of the twentieth century was at the head of the national movement in the new historical conditions, thereby continuing the struggle started in the XVIII century under the leadership of Abylai Khan, and in the XIX century under the leadership of Kenesary Kasymuly. He played a leading role in the theoretical justification of the idea of the national state in the new historical period, as well as in determining the ways and means by which this goal was to be achieved, and during his lifetime was recognized as the leader of the national liberation movement at the national level. The Alash movement, which was formed as a result of the purposeful work of Alikhan Bukeikhanov and his closest associates, entered the genealogy of the nation as a comprehensive civil struggle of an entire generation of intellectuals for the people's existence and values. In other words, the Alash movement is a clear indication that there was a tradition of continuity of the national idea in the history of the country, which served as the main priority of national interests. The place of Alikhan Bukeikhan and his associates in the history and culture of the nation was also that they openly and clearly expressed this fundamental position in a certain historical period and devoted their lives to this goal without any hesitation. The lack of inclination of the Provisional Government to solve the national issue prompted the Kazakh intellectuals to independently restore state power in Kazakhstan. The Cadet Party which recognized not only the identity of nations, but also cultural autonomy wasn’t agree with Kazakh intellectuals, but also sought to create an autonomous state within Russia.
Abstract: For the present generations, it is important to know not only what historical work the national political elite has done, but also what they have become as figures. Because in the entire civilized society, each generation can deeply understand its own peculiarity, its historical duty and its tasks through the study of such problems in the context o...

Abstract: The Extension Unit of OMSC envisions in providing an effective and relevant pool of information and activities that will propel the community towards sustainable development. However, among its major function, extension had been greatly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions. This case study aims to determine the management strategies employed during the COVID-19 pandemic from 2020-2021. Result shows there had been changes in the extension dynamics needed by the partner agencies and other stakeholders. The top topics identified are technology, research capability, health and governance. The stakeholder still likes the 8 hour training with the inclusion of demonstration or assessment. The ICT is the most preferred methodologies, which is in line with social media as a source of information. Further, the difficulties faced in providing services in the New Normal were categorized based on the extension process and was ranked as follows: evaluation, implementation, monitoring, planning and agenda creation. Even in the New Normal, the status of extension activities had showed an increasing turnout. Majority of these extensions were conducted online using digital platform.

Abstract: Consumption and production practices are part of the logics and habits of the different social structures. Every sociolinguistic community possesses its own food and cultural practices. Those practices and behaviors are not necessarily static. They can be influenced by external phenomena. This paper tries, through a socio-anthropological qualitative approach, to understand the consumption and production practices of rural households in the communes of Koumbia and Béréba. The study showed that the rural communities of Koumbia and Bereba have a diversity of cultivation practices and eating habits. However, this diversity of production does not correspond to what is consumed. The reason for this paradox stems from the perceptions that these communities have of food. Rural households are more focused an “eating their fill” than on the nutritional quality of what they consume. Thus, dietary behavior or food choices are ultimately much more determined by cultural values related to education, openness, curiosity, acquired and ethnic information than by technical-economic factors related to the resources of the farm or its environment as supported by classical theories. Food habits therefore remain determining factors in production and consumption practices. They favor change because societies are dynamic and highly functional in contact with modernity and the diffusionist current resulting in the mixing of cultures.

Abstract: Students with low vision make effective use of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) through accessibility settings, and in many cases can use ICT at the same level as able sighted students. In particular, tablets such as the iPad have become an indispensable part of their daily lives and are considered to be one of the tools that can dramatically enhance their learning environment. In this study, we tried to digitize their notes by using iPad and Apple Pencil. Our results showed, the iPad and Apple Pencil were not only effective in the promotion of content understanding and promotion of home study, but also proved usefulness in answering tests. The only ICT used in this experiment was the iPad and Apple Pencil. No other special equipment or environment is required. The only difference is that instead of the conventional form of distributing printed class handouts created by teachers on their PCs the handouts are converted to PDF files and distributed electronically. As for the applications, the standard installed ones are sufficient. Therefore, as long as students and teachers have iPads and Apple Pencils, it is relatively easy to introduce the system, and it is possible to spread the system as a measure for students with low vision. In addition, it is expected that ICT devices such as the iPad and Apple Pencil can be used as an effective support tool for their social participation.

Abstract: Prior to merging pension schemes in the year 2018, there were a total of five recognized pension schemes in Tanzania. This paper investigated the impact of merging pension funds on the provision of retirement benefits in Tanzania. Specifically this paper intends to examine the impact of merging membership contributions on the provision of retirement benefits in Tanzania. A survey research design was deployed. Total of 100 retirees of Public Service Social Security Fund (PSSSF) retired from 2018 onwards in Dar es Salaam Region were involved. Non-probability sampling technique was deployed and the required sample was selected using purposive and convenience sampling methods. The obtained data was analysed quantitatively using descriptive statistics and Pearson’s correlation analysis. Overall results of this study showed that merging membership contributions, has positive and significant impact on the provision of retirement benefits (r= 0.311 respectively at 0.05 significant level). The study concludes that, the decision to merge four public pension fund; Local Authority Pension Fund (LAPF), Parastatal Pension Fund (PPF), Government Employees Provident Fund (GEPF) and Public Service Pension Fund (PSPF) to form Public Service Social Security Fund (PSSSF) has significant impact on the provision of retirement benefits to retirees in Tanzania. In order to ensure that merging the pension funds improves provision of the retirement benefits, the Government through PSSSF management should take measures such as increase sense of care of the pension contributions to employees of the PSSSF and by strengthening internal control systems.

Abstract: In the course of our research, we discovered, in the archives of religious missionary congregations, directories and treatises of missionaries proposing pedagogical advice for evangelization. From the Apostle Paul to the popes of the 20th century, an approach to inculturate Christianity was built up empirically. Theorized by the Propaganda Fide Instructions of 1659, it was applied between the 17th and 20th centuries with the support of the popes. However, the comparative approach of the sources reveals a "fact" that was not even suspected until now: the existence of an identical pedagogical process in both form and content. What we have called "the Pauline process" is articulated in two great stages, themselves subdivided into progressive phases: first, the insertion of the missionary into the culture (kenosis, knowledge of the language and living according to their customs, then the phase of pastoral inculturation (the culture as a vehicle of the Gospel, hermeneutics/precedence, and the indigenous clergy). Going further, we noticed that there was a shift in the Christian pedagogy of the Redemption and that of the Apostle Paul. They overlap perfectly. From there we have modeled this "Pauline process" in order to draw out its Christian anthropology and to highlight its coherence over twenty centuries. This pedagogical process places the missionary and the missioned in a symmetrical relationship of dialogue, exchange and interrelation. There is a stripping away and a mutual contribution. For the missionary it is a cultural stripping and for the missioned it is religious. Both "meet" and "come closer" in a process of reciprocal renunciation/adoption which puts into action their own will, their free will. This is a unique pedagogy in the annals of history. This has led us to derive a "meta-process" that could provide the basis for a pedagogy applicable in various fields.

Abstract: From 2014, the Koglweogo phenomenon crystallized the debates around its opportunity, its legality and its legitimacy. Also, there are the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland (VDP). These debates are highlighted in a society in full mutation and change, but also in a context of socio-political crises, and in a kind of break of trust between the populations and the society institutions. Organizing themselves to defend their territories, in another words their interests, the orientation of their activities about security problems brings them into conflict with other actors, the defense and security forces which are traditionally in charge of these problems; and raise questions in a state of law and sovereignty. The soft focus that, for a long time remained in the dynamics of their formalization or their deletion brings up to date the question of social regulation and the capacity of the State to ensure the coordination of a diversity of action in a field as complex as that of security. To arrive at such conclusions, the approach is based on a qualitative method combining press cuttings, documentary research and semi-structured interviews, individual, collective and by voice of the press, from a theoretical entry by the conflicts.
