Abstract: Objective The dangers of drugs affect the central nervous system of consciousness, loss of control, hallucinations, anxiety, depression, violent behavior, addiction, mental disorders and organ damage leading to death, and can also have an impact on the economy, socio-culture, defense and quality of youth behavior as the nation's hope. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of democratic parenting training in preventing the dangers of drugs for adolescents through a commitment to a drug-free lifestyle for adolescents. Methods The study used a quasy experimental design with two groups pre and post test design, with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. Research with stages: (1) choosing parenting training about the dangers of drugs with the theoretical framework B = f (PF, EF, RF) namely factors (predisposing factors, enabling factors, reinforcing factors), (2) conducting democratic parenting training for parents, and (3) implementation of parenting democratic parents about the dangers of drugs to adolescents. Collecting data with a questionnaire on knowledge, attitudes and commitment to drug-free behavior for adolescents before and after training and compared with the control group. Results ANOVA analysis of the aspects of knowledge, attitude and behavioral commitment of respondents in the experimental and control groups showed a sig. 0.000 < 0.05, then H1 is accepted, that is, there is a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group. The conclusion of parenting democratic parenting training is effective in increasing knowledge, attitudes, and commitment to drug-free living for adolescents.

Abstract: Background About 21% of women treated for cancer develop breast cancer-associated lymphedema (BCRL), which could lead to negative changes in self-image, increased anxiety and reduced quality of life. Currently, there are a variety of treatments to improve lymphedema, and wearing compression garments is considered necessary, however, evidence is lacking to assess the effectiveness of BCRL compression garments. Purpose To evaluate the efficacy and safety of wearing compression garments for lymphedema volume in adult breast cancer patients. Methods By searching MEDLINE, PubMed, Psych Articles, Academic Search Complete, CINAHL and Cochrane Library, the search was limited to peer-reviewed literature published between 2017 and 2022 in English. Inclusion criteria were participants aged ≥18 years and the intervention was wearing a compression garment. The primary outcome was lymphedema volume change and adverse events. Results A total of 903 literature were obtained, and the literature were screened through the PRISMA flow chart, and five literature that met the criteria were finally included, all of which were randomized controlled trials (RCT). Risk of bias assessment and quality of evidence graded for these five RCTs were performed by two independent researchers using the Cochrane Risk of Bias Tool and the GRADE grading System. The five included RCTs were biased to varying degrees because the intervention was obvious, and the quality of the evidences were moderate, but wearing compression garment was effective and safe in all trials. Conclusion In adult breast cancer patients, wearing compression garments could significantly reduce the volume of lymphedema, and the longer the daily wear time, the better the effect, and the safer than Kinesio Taping. Future studies should conduct higher-quality, multicenter randomized controlled trials to further determine the optimal pressure range for compression garment use.

Construction and Adjustment of the Training Program for Hospice Care Nursing Specialists Based on the Delphi Method

Abstract: Objectives: This study aimed to construct a novel training program focused on the cultivation of practical skills, in order to provide a reference for the training of hospice care (HС) nursing specialists in China. Methods: This study applied Delphi method to collect and analyze opinions of selected experts from different regions and organizations in China, who have knowledge or practical experience related to HC. Results: From October to December 2020, a total of 17 experts from 14 tertiary hospitals and 3 nursing colleges across China participated in the survey. In the first round, out of 17 experts 16 responded, with the expert positive coefficient of 93.8%. For the two rounds of survey, expert’s levels of familiarity with the field were 0.938 and 0.938, while expert’s judgment criterions were 0.868 and 0.878. Thus the authority coefficients for the two rounds were 0.903 and 0.908, indicating high enough degree of authority of the participating experts. Training content covered the overview of HC, comfort care, heart-spirit-community support, hospice services, ethics and law, communication skills and stress response. After proposed adjustments the final training program for HС nursing specialists included 8 first-level sections, 24 second-level sections, and 57 third-level sections, designed for theoretical training time of 4 weeks and practical training of 8 weeks. Conclusion: The new training program for Hospice Care nursing specialists was constructed and evaluated by experts. Content of the program was considered to be comprehensive and reliable, and could provide a reference for the training of HC nursing specialists in China.

Abstract: Background: Health and wellbeing of Healthcare workers impacts the health of the nation. COVID-19 pandemic has brought to light a number of challenges faced by Healthcare workers all over the world, affecting their psychosocial, financial, spiritual and physical well-being. There has been an alarming number of healthcare workers being affected by COVID-19 across the globe, some even succumbed to death as a result of COVID-19. Some identified reasons for this tragedy have been lack of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), insufficient knowledge about the disease, shortage of healthcare workers and the compromised welfare of the Healthcare workers. Few studies within Lesotho focused on the perceptions of healthcare workers on COVID-19 and there was none conducted on the experiences of healthcare workers working in the COVID-19 isolation wards therefore, the aim of this study is describe the experiences of Healthcare workers working in COVID-19 isolation wards in Lesotho. Material and Methods: A descriptive phenomenological research design was utilized and data was collected using unstructured interviews which were audio-recorded. The interviews were conducted amongst the nine Healthcare workers who were working in the COVID-19 isolation ward and they composed on one office assistant, two medical doctors and six registered nurses. Analysis: Colaizzi’s seven-step method of qualitative data analysis was followed in this study. Results: Findings revealed increased workload, significant amount of negative emotions in the early stages of the pandemic, positive emotions at the later stage as well as stigma and discrimination. Conclusions: The COVID-19 pandemic placed a huge burden on the health care system. Health care workers, being in the front line, were significantly affected; they had to endure continued psychological distress because of the unique type of care required.
