Abstract: Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) due to their participation in the production of goods and services and as a source of jobs, are the basis of the economy in any country. In Mexico 95% of the companies have a family structure or are controlled by a family, so it is important to identify strategies that favor their continuation over time. This research was conducted in order to analyze the strategies that SMEs have implemented that have allowed them to remain in the market. In the process were applied 30 questionnaires to the founders and managers of small family businesses constituted by members of the Chinese community situated in the city of Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. These companies develop activities and a strategy based on experience, and show a marked reluctance to invest time and effort in designing strategic planning, is why is essential carry out actions that will help them continue the operation of its business with, in order to achieve their permanence, growth and consolidation.

Abstract: This study aims at investigating how far teamwork can support Knowledge Management. In doing so, 384 employees working in Iran Khodro, Neyshabour branch, located in Khorasan-e-Razavi, Iran were randomly selected as our participants. Based on studies done, we distinguish which features of teamwork support the KM course of action in its different phases (i.e. formation, transfer and incorporation). In order to analyze the data obtained, multiple regression and analysis of variance were used. The results of the study indicated that complementary skills (H2) and a climate of trust (H3) in teamwork were more significant factors that support management of organizational knowledge.

Abstract: The delivery of high quality services is one of the most important and most difficult tasks that any service organization faces due to its unique characteristics such as intangibility, Perishability, variability, inseparability and its labour intense nature. In most cases, service quality is judged by customers and as such it is the customers’ perception of how well a service meets or exceeds their expectations that define service quality. Service quality leads to customer loyalty and higher profitability when other factors have been considered. It is against the back ground that the study was undertaken to assess quality service delivery in the hotel industry. The research therefore used SERVQUAL Model to assess service quality in the hotel industry using customers of the hotel as respondents. Primary data for the research was collected using a modified pretested questionnaire developed around the SERVQUAL model. Respondents assessed service quality on a Non-comparative Scaling Techniques (ranging from Extremely Good, Very Good, Good, Bad, Very Bad, and Extremely Bad) based on tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy. The findings from the study depict various concerns from customers as to their expectation and experiences. However, customers overall assessment of the service quality of the hotel depicted that, 30% rate service quality as excellent, 36% as very good, 27% as good while 7% rated their service as average. This is an indication that service quality was acceptable by customers who patron.

Abstract: The fundamental success of supply chain management involves the effective coordination and integration of all the entities among the various supply chain partners—for example, suppliers, distributors, inbound and outbound transportation, third-party logistics companies, and information systems providers. Healthcare supply chain management differs from other application in term of key elements as it tends to be misalignment, high costs for healthcare providers and heavy dependence on third party. There are multitudes of factors to be considered so as to ensure on-time delivery, protection and product integrity from origin to destination. The objective of the article is to critically assess and investigate the supply chain activities of Al Zahrawi Medical, U.A.E and to identify and address the areas of weakness that may affect organizational performance. The findings suggested that optimizing the operations would help the company to achieve higher profits and have a competitive advantage.

Abstract: Based on the results of the research carried out in one production system an attempt is made to give an answer regarding the possibilities for the development of adaptive operational planning and production control, especially in terms of dynamics and mode of operation and linking of procurement, sales and production processes. Through selected criteria and measures and with adequate design of experiments and a simple simulation model, the influence factors have been defined, and by applying the analysis of variance the relative strength of their effect on the successfulness of operational planning and production control has been determined. The results obtained are a template for definition and development of the process of operational planning and production control and for the optimization of that process with the aim of meeting the maximum needs of the market through the realization in production, and achieving the highest possible success of a business enterprise, as a model of descrete periodical dynamic optimization.

Abstract: In research of a model of production planning and control that can adapt to changes, disturbances and risks a model of adaptable optimization, called discrete corrective dynamizing optimization, was created. The model is created on the basis of dynamic programming to which is added the model of corrective optimization by simulation with the criteria defined in the initial and corrective part of the optimization. The effectiveness of a model of discrete corrective dynamizing programming was tested in relation to three other models of production programming. Testing has shown that the smallest deviations of the product quantities were obtained by applying the model of discrete corrective dynamizing optimization. It was also shown that the difference in the realized profit rate as the optimization criterion in relation to actual results was negligible in all testing conditions-variants. This is also a proof that with the use of corrective optimization a possible optimum can be achieved, with maximum adjustment to changes.
