Abstract: The main concern of a country is energy in the present world. Developing country like Bangladesh is also facing challenges to meet its energy demand. For energy, Bangladesh mainly depends on Natural gas, Petroleum Oil, LPG, LNG, Coal, NGL etc. It seems that average increase of energy consumption in Bangladesh about 6% per annum. Therefore, this study analyzes current energy scenario and visualization of future energy of Bangladesh in accordance with SDG 2030 and Vision 2041. The research focuses on the following points: i) What is the current consumption of total energy in MTOE and the Per capita consumption of energy in Kgoe (Kilogram Oil Equivalent) and per capita generation of electricity in Bangladesh (kWh). ii) What is the approximate consumption of total energy in MTOE, and what will be Per capita consumption of energy in Kgoe (Kilogram Oil Equivalent) and per capita generation of electricity in Bangladesh (kWh) by 2030. iii) What is the approximate consumption of total energy in MTOE, and what will be Per capita consumption of energy in Kgoe (Kilogram Oil Equivalent) and per capita generation of electricity in Bangladesh (kWh) by 2041.

Abstract: Bangladesh is a mid-income country. Her GDP growth rate is one of the world’s largest. For any country, development is the precondition for continued growth of GDP. And the main driving force of the country's development is energy. Proper use of hydrogen fuel is essential to meet the country's growing energy demands as well as to lift up from a mid-income country to a developed country. Hydrogen fuel will play a vital role in implementing Vision-2041. In the context of globalization and open market economy, there is no alternative to the discovery of hydrogen fuel of Bangladesh and its proper management and planned use. Hydrogen is a sustainable & renewable fuel. It is very promising to add hydrogen as fuel to the fuel mix of Bangladesh like coal and gas. Therefore, this study analyzes the Hydrogen is the best fuel of Bangladesh in accordance with Vision 2041. The research focuses on the following points: (i) Analysis of hydrogen creation, uses and storage; (ii) Analysis of hydrogen in renewable energy integration; (iii) Analysis of Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicle illustration; (iv) Analysis of hydrogen production and Electricity Production by Hydrogen; (v) Analysis of Green Hydrogen by Water Electrolysis and Green Hydrogen production cost.

Abstract: The research study analyzed sewage water from Eagle Island Nkpolu-Oroworukwo community, Port Harcourt and its treatment with activated charcoal for its re-application. The water sample collected was analyzed experimentally for both untreated and treated samples to determine pH, Total Dissolved Solid (TDS), Total Suspended Solid (TSS), Total Solid, Total Hardness, Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Phosphate (PO4), and Nitrate (NO3). Also, water quality index (WQI) and status of water was also investigated to know the quality of untreated and treated water sample by analyzing ten parameters based on the recommended standards of the World Health Organization (WHO), Nigerian Industrial Standards (NIS) and Federal Environmental Protection Agency (FEPA) for water quality. The water quality index values for the untreated and treated samples are 108.213 and 40.024 respectively. The values of the water quality index showed that the untreated sewage water belongs to grade E, hence its unsuitability while that of the treated water sample showed a good quality water as it belongs to grade B that falls between the range of 25 – 50. Thus, water quality index is applied as a tool for comparing water quality of different sources and locations and sewage water treatment with activated charcoal in a packed column is an effective tool for sewage water treatment.

Abstract: In the present study, a Cameroonian smectite was used as an adsorbent to model the adsorption kinetics of three textile dyes (malachite green, methyl red and acid blue 74) from aqueous solution in a batch system. The effects of pH and temperature were evaluated on the adsorption capacities, the times required to reach adsorption equilibrium and the adsorption mechanisms involved. It can be seen that, although the times required to reach the adsorption equilibrium are independent of the pH of the medium, the adsorption process studied is favourable in acidic media and is globally independent of temperature. Among the pseudo-first and pseudo-second-order kinetic models used to analyse the experimental data, the pseudo-second-order model was the best suited to describe the adsorption of the three dyes onto the clay. The mechanism involved, independently of the dye, is therefore a two-step process: the transfer of dye molecules from the solution to the clay surface followed by the interaction between the molecules and the surface. The low value of activation energies indicates that the adsorption of Methyl red, Malachite green and Acid blue 74 on the studied clay is a physisorption process.

Abstract: In the context of globalization and open market economy, there is no alternative to the discovery of energy and mineral resources of Bangladesh and its proper management and planned use. Besides, Bangladesh is committed to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030 announced by the United Nations and the government is setting the targets for the implementation of the SDGs in the light of the 8th Five-Year Plan. That is why uninterrupted fuel supply is required. The present government has identified the energy sector as a priority sector, realizing the necessity of energy sector development. The role of private companies is essential to meet the country's growing energy demands as well as to move from a mid-income country to a developed country. Therefore, this study analyzes the role of private entities in the energy sector of Bangladesh The research focuses on the following points: (i) Economic rebound through Covid-19 scenario in Bangladesh; (ii) Contribution of private entities to the energy sector of Bangladesh (iii) Challenges faced by private entities in energy sector of Bangladesh (iv) Prospects of private entities in energy sector of Bangladesh (v) private entities to enhance energy security.

Abstract: The purpose of the offshore platform vent pipe is to release the excess associated gas produced by the oilfield production process in a safe place. Based on the characteristics of the vent pipe of offshore oil platform and the potential hazards of the vent pipe to some working points on the platform caused by sudden emergency discharge, this paper focuses on the analysis of the thermal radiation and noise of each working point on the offshore platform, the thermal radiation and noise of the calculation point were simulated by Flaresim 6.0. The evaluation method is based on the guidelines for pressure relief and decompression systems recommended by the American Petroleum Institute (API RP 521). The simulation results of Flaresim software show that the thermal radiation and noise values of the main working points on the offshore platform meet the requirements of the limits. However, in order to avoid high temperature phenomenon on the surface of the equipment in the working area, low absorptivity coating or protective layer should be used on the surface of the equipment. When vent pipe is empty, the staff should return to the room as far as possible or must wear sound insulation earplug for protection to meet the noise safety assessment. Through the detailed analysis of thermal radiation and noise safety design of offshore platform vent pipe, this study provides an effective reference for similar vent pipe or flare system design projects in the future.
