Abstract: The word "Ba" has always been the focus of teaching in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and it is also a difficult point for foreign students in language learning. Cognitive psychology is a new discipline that emerged in the 1950s. The view that cognitive process is an information processing process has influenced many disciplines, among which teaching Chinese as a foreign language is one of them. In order to reduce the errors in the use of "Ba" sentences by foreign students, this paper mainly adopts the literature research and interdisciplinary study. Firstly, according to the object in the sentence, the "Ba" sentences can be divided into six types, and then based on the literature investigation, summarizes the previous three unreasonable teaching methods, and then according to the structural characteristics and components of the "Ba" sentence, its errors are divided into four major types and seven minor types, according to the cognitive psychology "information processing theory" point of view, and put forward four kinds of "Ba" sentences teaching method. From the perspective of cognitive psychology, the knowledge of "Ba" sentences can be effectively processed to strengthen students' memory and reduce errors in the output. It is hoped that the method of combining the two disciplines can bring new enlightenment to the second language teaching.

Abstract: This study investigated junior high school pupils’ opinions on motivation and mobile devices’ usage at school. The sample consisted of 179 pupils aged 13-15 years old, in a state experimental school in Greece. The majority of pupils believe that mobile devices (e.g., mobile phones, tablets) are an incentive for learning, mainly because these help in searching for information, they are interesting, they help pupils in understanding the concepts and in completing the school assignments. The school subjects for which many pupils would be more interested, in case mobile devices were used in the classroom, were physics, mathematics and history. The examples of learning activities (or functions) with mobile devices in the classroom, as stated by pupils, were mainly those pupils are familiar with (searching the internet, using the calculator, the stopwatch and the dictionary). Implications for school practices are discussed.

Abstract: The aim of exploring transition theory is outlined in its concepts and application uses in nursing practice. Literature review methods applied precepts to demonstrate the theory’s usefulness in care management. Results validate transition knowledge identifies wishes of patients and families as a method of joint communicating and decisions on choices for healthcare. The process of making decisions for transition post discharge requires knowledge of the theory. In conclusion, identifying patient/family needs and clarifying what is required to resume self-care after treatments incorporates either immediate or long-term identified needs. Nursing and medical scholars have added transitions to processes within acute care hospitals to address the needs of patients and families.

Abstract: There is no doubt that the demand for e-learning has increased tremendously across the globe. Our main observation is that both students and Faculty have expressed overall satisfaction in the use of E-learning systems and Educational technologies. From concept to content, there have been calls for quality assurance in E-learning most especially in the area of Instructional Designs (IDs) and use of Learning Management Systems (LMS). Quality Management is a vital part of any E-learning application. Tertiary Institutions have spent heavily and are soon expecting Return on Investments which cannot be undermined. The purpose of this study is to investigate quality in Instructional designs and use of Moodle LMS. Faculties of Southern University, an Historically Black College and University (HBCU) were interviewed to identify current state and perceived challenges as well as helpful components based on their online experiences. Survey was also carried out to further support our qualitative inquiry. Results of this study indicated that most students and faculty needs an open mindset, motivation, standardized course design, time management and comfortableness with online educational technologies to achieve quality. Interviewee also indicated difficulty in understanding the use, technical problems, cost and lack of training as challenges. Suggestions for addressing the challenges were provided.

Abstract: This study examined school characteristics and secondary school teachers’ work effectiveness in Abi Local Government Area of Cross River State. Specifically, the study examined the influence of school location, school population, and school ownership on secondary school teachers’ work effectiveness respectively. Three research questions were posed and three null hypotheses were formulated accordingly to guide the study. The design adopted for the study was a descriptive survey research design. A purposive sampling technique was used to select a sample of 156 respondents out of a population of 549 teachers. A questionnaire titled “Teachers’ work effectiveness questionnaire” (TWEQ) was used as an instrument for data collection. Collected data were analysed using descriptive statistics, while the null hypotheses were all tested at .05 level of significance using the independent t-test statistical technique. The results of the analysis revealed that school characteristics such as location, population, and ownership, influenced secondary school teachers’ work effectiveness respectively. Based on these findings, it was recommended among others that; teachers should be motivated using intrinsic and extrinsic channels such as praises, rewards for outstanding performance, regular payment of salaries, promotion and other incentives such as improved working conditions, good classroom, and office environment, and so on, for improved work performance.
