Abstract: Huduma Kenya seeks to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of Huduma Centre. One important area that defines how well and efficient the Centres deliver its services to customers is its queue management practices. The objective of the study was to determine the effect of customer arrival practices on customer satisfaction. The study focused on the customers of the Huduma Centre. The sample size of the population was determined by simple random sampling strategy. The target population is the customers of Huduma Centre in Nakuru County. The study targeted a population sample size of 384 customers. Data was collected using a structured questionnaire that were administered by the researcher. In order to test the hypothesis the inferential statistics such as the Pearson Product-Moment correlation and Regression analysis tests statistics were used in order to establish the relationship between customer arrival practices and customer satisfaction. The study found that the relationship between customer arrival and customer satisfaction is significant and positive.

Abstract: Although the process of technology transfer including university-industry cooperation and other forms has been widely investigated in previous literature, it still lacks a comprehensive modeling of this process. This paper presents a model describing the selection between one-time transfer, which is usually known as patenting and licensing, and university-industry cooperation in the situation of perfect information, and find out that the bargaining power of both sides, along with the periods that the underlying technologies can be profitable are important factors that may influence the decisions of the trade forms and the corresponding fees, respectively. The simulating results show that, given the profitable period of the underlying technologies is long enough, as the bargaining power of scientists become stronger, the selection of form of trade undergoes a changing pattern of from one-time transfer to cooperation. Moreover, to deal with conflicts that the both sides may face in some cases, two rules that are proposed under the situation of with and without intermediaries are discussed respectively, and we find that the allocation under the two rules are the same. This conclusion helps providing theoretical support for introducing technology intermediaries into the process of technology transfer.

Abstract: The Joint Institute for Nuclear Researches (JINR) in Dubna has become the real space of international cooperation of scientists and a field of intellectual collaboration, co-influence of different cultures. JINR was and is one of the basic elements of sustainable development in Central Europe since the soviet period. Its activity in Dubna is the evidence of the fact that the result of joint efforts of peoples, governments and scientists produces synergetic effect in science, and in the process of international dialogue at all levels. The history of JINR is the way from a secret organization through recognition of the necessity for international interaction in a certain field (science) to the unique, integrated international environment, where the common human principles and values dominate, while the national peculiarities carefully preserved at the same time. In essence Dubna and JINR today are an example of inter-cultural communications covering all levels: from inter-governmental to interpersonal communication.

Abstract: This paper is designed to divulge the financial performance of a selective non-bank financial institutions operating in Bangladesh using the ratio analysis of Lanka Bangla Finance Limited. Lanka Bangla Finance Limited is one of the best non-banking financial institutions in Bangladesh. It has become possible due to its proper usage of its resources. In this paper we will be able to find out how they have managed their assets to cover their liabilities. This report will also show why the ratio analysis is so important of a company. To conduct the study, we have collected secondary data from LBFL. This paper is solely based on the ratio analysis segmented in following four broad categories such as Liquidity Ratio, Solvency Ratio, Profitability Ratio and Market Prospect Ratio. We have accumulated in total of 17 ratios included in these four broad categories.

Abstract: The consequences of water erosion processes in arable lands are reduction of the root layer, deterioration of soil structure, lower water retention capacity of the soil and loss of nutrients and organic matter, and final result, reduction of soil fertility. To combat water erosion on slope lands were created advanced systems for minimum and unconventional tillage for cultivation of maize on slope lands. This study examines the economic efficiency of these systems, included the impact of these treatments on the yield of crops and their conservation effect.

Abstract: To date, very few research has been taken to quantitatively visualize the intellectual evolution of the field of detecting research fronts. Based on literature-searching analysis from the Thomson Reuters Web of Science as well as scientometrics mapping analysis, this important research topic is analyzed by techniques from informetric and bibliometric domains to detect its intellectual structures and dynamics. After data reduction and clean-up, 1841 articles published from 1991 to 2016 are downloaded, and two network analyses are conducted: a bibliometric approach (i.e. co-occurrence and co-citation network) and a complex network approach utilizing Chen’s CiteSpace. Results are illustrated as the following: (1) growth of publications is divided into three stages: a stagnant phase (1991 - 2002), a takeoff phase (2003 - 2009) and a blooming phase (2010 - 2016); (2) most of the research institutions in this domain are concentrated in the United States, China, Japan and some developed countries in Europe. Chinese research in this area is mainly concentrated in Wuhan university, Chinese academy of science and Dalian university of technology; (3) publications of detecting research fronts mainly focus on the disciplines of Compute Science, Engineering and Information science library science; (4) we find three main academic communities in this domain, and they mainly focus on development and application of methods detecting research fronts; (5) methods detecting research fronts are classified into two categories: citations analysis and topic words analysis; (6) Scientific researchers began to frequently use the database for scientometrics research after 2012 and medical field began to use this approach to understand some of the frontier dynamics in the field in 2014.
