Abstract: The paper analyses symbols and references related to freedom lost and finding by the human being, with the sample of Rabindranath Tagore’s literary work, Indian poet, philosopher and painter (1861-1941). Through those elements a symbolic framework is built, showing a certain conception of true freedom, always related to transcendence. That conquest is desired and feared at the same time, as a contradiction that presents itself as a reflection of human nature.

Abstract: Albanian literature of Baytajes appears as a new stream of Albanian pre-renaissance literature. Here, once again, we must emphasize that this literature was developed by many talented poets and literary consciousness formed by the intertwining of Turkish-Arab-Persian culture with the Albanian folk culture. All this undoubtedly shows the high level and awareness of religious, ideological, national and human thoughts of the Albanian literary elite of Baytajes that used the Arabic and Ottoman letters in their literary work for almost two hundred years. Those Albanian Baytajes used the form of thick chorus, to reach a greater ideo-emotional effect. However, this feature was also under the influence of poetry and poets of the Islamic East.

Abstract: A physics teacher taught Farsi Language for middle school students in the academic year 2015-2016 in Abadan. Physical sciences demonstrations and mathematical puzzles motivated the students to improve their observation skills and to make progress in writing skills. They found some similarities between observing a physical phenomenon and observing a social problem. And they discovered that the reports are the same for physics and sociology fields i.e., the report must be real and clear with simple words and phrases. They learnt to look carefully and to use humour and metaphors to make their compositions clearer and more visible.

Abstract: In this article, an attempt is made to analyze syntactic ambiguity in a specific register, i.e. newspaper headlines. As a form of media text, newspaper has a significant role in society as it presents various local, national and international events and information. In order to attract readers' attention, journalists may tend to form headlines to be ambiguous and confusing so that readers become curious to read the whole report. This article addresses the issue of syntactic ambiguity caused by prepositional phrase (PP) attachment in newspaper headlines by analyzing examples of such headlines. After investigating the ambiguity of the headlines, an attention was directed to PP attachment preferences by examining the type of headlines (VP-NP-PP and NP1-NP2-PP structure). The main results were that NP attachment was generally preferred over VP attachment and NP1 attachment was notably favored over NP2 attachment.

Abstract: This article seeks to examine the image of women as reflected in the short stories by the important Syrian author Zakaria Tāmer, which were written in the second half of the twentieth century. In light of the theoretical debate on the extent to which men can faithfully represent the female experience, this article seeks to present Tāmer’s work as writing that is by and large free of the chauvinistic male perceptions that were prevalent in Syria at the time, and as writing in which feminist perceptions are expressed with regard to the woman’s place and status at a time when “the female voice” had not yet been formulated in writing in Syria. In many of his stories Tāmer positions the woman as a central figure and creates a new (fictional) world, wherein men and women possess equal rights and status; in other stories in which the motif of the woman’s oppression is manifested, she surprises with her resourcefulness and by “breaking the rules” in protest. These perceptions are expressed even in Tāmer’s early stories. Given that the writing prevailing in Syria up to the mid-twentieth century, and to a considerable degree later as well, writing that ignores female endeavor and creativity on the one hand, and mainly presents women as maidservants or mistresses on the other, Tāmer’s work can be viewed as writing that extracts “the female voice” and accords it unique weight even in his first stories. As a writer who presents a high degree of feminist awareness in his writing, he conducts a literary-social-historical reform that embodies a challenge to intellectual and literary writing in the Arab world.

Abstract: This paper consists on recognizing essentially proverbs and developing communication in different and specific situation, but what is hidden in the human mind still remains a dilemma. Nobody can fully read the human mind as long as human intelligence differs in opinion at fraction of a second. Proverbs are used to understand human nature and to distinguish people culturally through their daily interpretation and their wisdom transmission from one place to another. At a time when effective communication is essential, the comprehension of the right message in connection with different cultures is useful knowledge, permitting not only mobility and flexibility but also competitiveness to face different life situations. In different nations we find proverbs that are equivalent between them. It is in fact a cognitive mechanism used by speakers in order to produce, understand and transmit ideas and life messages. In cases where we have no expressive equivalence between proverbs, the same proverbs are interpreted according to life circumstances, because there operates the hidden mental mechanism.
