Abstract: The properties of particle reinforced composites are often limited due to the interface between reinforcements and matrix materials. In this study, double-layer structure 2024Al-2024Al/B4C composites were fabricated by plasma activated sintering (PAS) under the condition of 530°C, 3 min, 20 MPa. Effect of B4C content on the mechanical behavior of the composites was investigated. When the B4C content in the higher layer is 17.5 wt.%, the bending strength of the composite is 1099.68 MPa. In addition, the hardness of the substrate surface is 136.58 HV, and the composite surface is 198.68 HV. This kind of material introduces the design idea of the function gradient material and the microstructure control, which makes the effective transition of the interface between the reinforcements and matrix materials, meeting the special need of works.

Abstract: This paper presents the Physics of current near a cylindrical magnetic interface. In the past, several texts and papers have focused attention on current lines near rectangular structures near conducting or insulating planes and on magnetic fields around solenoids and some other types of current-carrying conductors. This paper explains what happens when a current line passes near a cylindrical magnetic interface. The phenomenon of placing a cylinder in a uniform external magnetic field is explained. The concept of real image and virtual electric currents is analyzed and discussed. The reciprocal point as image on the cylinder is also considered. Also considered and analyzed are phenomena of magnetic force on the cylinder wall and the effective dipole moment in the far-field. This research finds applications in the designs of magnetic systems and coils for electric generators.

Abstract: A numerical investigation is performed in the present study by using of ANSYS-CFX R15.0 for a laminar free convection heat transfer inside a closed curvy porous cavity heated from below by using of Darcy-Forchheimer model with neglecting the viscous dissipation. The porous combination is a saturated silica-sand by water. The graphical parameters which have been tested here are involving (waving the cavity side walls in a sinusoidal shape, the phase angle, and the aspect ratio). The most important conclusion in this research is that the sinusoidal curviness of the cavity's walls is not help to rise the rate of heat transfer, but in contrary it decreases this rate except when the number of waves per cavity's height is equal to one (i.e. N=1), where it is found that this value enhances the heat transfer rate inside the cavity especially when the dimensionless amount of the wave's amplitude be equal to (0.075).

Abstract: Today, home automation is playing a vital role in our life. Home automation entitles us to manage and control the household appliance like the tube light, fan, motor, etc. It reduces the human intervention thereby using the energy efficiently and saves the time. The sole aim of this technology is to automate the appliance around us which enables us to control them and helps in warning us during critical situations. It facilitates the communication between many real world objects by collaborating with various technologies and is an emerging novel paradigm. The integration of IoT and cloud computing enables us to process and store the enormous data that is generated by the heterogeneous devices. The main aim of this project is to monitor the appliances with the help of low cost sensors. In case any problem persists with the same then a message/mail would be given to the nearest technician/electrician and to the client. Using the data mining algorithm, we can select the nearest technician for the repairing of the knackered household appliance.
