Abstract: In the present work, tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding was carried out on stainless steel pipe joints and the heat transfer behaviour for various welding heat input was analysed. In this work austenitic stainless steel of grade 304L was used and the experiment was carried out on bead on plate and weld profile was analysed. The bead profile was obtained from the experiment and microstructure was characterized. The bead profile dimensions from the experiment were used in the calibration of heat source model during finite element heat transfer analysis. Based on the calibrated heat source model, TIG welding of stainless steel pipes was analysed. Numerical simulation was considered as conduction heat transfer analysis and weld pool convection was neglected in the model. The non-linear transient heat transfer analysis was carried out on pipes and thermal cycles at various locations were analysed.Abstract: In the present work, tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding was carried out on stainless steel pipe joints and the heat transfer behaviour for various welding heat input was analysed. Abstract: Missiles are sturdy, well-constructed machines. But, because of their size, weight, and bulk, they are not that easy to handle nor are missiles indestructible. Most missile damage is, unfortunately, a result of carelessness and poor handling practices. To reduce the possibility of damage, missiles are shipped, stored and handled with special equipments. Approved containers, canisters, and handling equipments provide maximum missile safety with minimum handling by personnel. In this paper review on design of a container which is used for transportation and storage of missile. The Missile container is made of composite shell structure stiffened with rectangular ribs on the interior surface. The opening to insert the missile is given at the rear end, which has very small contact area at the closing region.Abstract: Missiles are sturdy, well-constructed machines. Abstract: This paper presents the technique with which Low frequency thermal cycling tests were carried out on two carbon steel. The steels used are low and medium carbon steel, the compositional analysis was done to ascertain the percentage of carbon the as-received materials contain, and the micrograph of the samples was done using acuscope photomicrograph with a magnification of X400. The heating of the samples was done in a carbon muffle furnace and the test was done at predetermined ranges of thermal cycling temperatures. The specimen were machined to a precise gage length and diameter and the test was performed with the use of Avery Dennison (Avery model 7305) which has a curve with which the relationship between the dial gage reading and the imposed torque was established. The results obtained from the machine were the readings for maximum bending moment and cycles to failure, which were converted to get the applied bending stress. On the final analysis medium carbon steel prove to be a suitable material for design of machine that could undergo thermal cycling in service condition beyond 230°C.Abstract: This paper presents the technique with which Low frequency thermal cycling tests were carried out on two carbon steel. Abstract: The present work concerns the design, manufacturing and testing of a non-battery hand lamp. The present idea is based on utilization of human-emitted heat to activate a Peltier thermo-electric module for electricity generation. This technique is an emerging energy-harvesting application. The size of the lamp is suitable to be hold by the hand of a grown-up person. A group of nine suitable and powerful LEDs were used as the light source of the lamp. A special housing was designed and fabricated of Teflon. Also, the lamp was supplied by a heat sink to increase the efficiency of the Peltier module. Interesting conclusions and suggestions for further development are stated.Abstract: The present work concerns the design, manufacturing and testing of a non-battery hand lamp. Abstract: The biography and scientific results of the prominent Soviet-Russian physicist Dmitry Ivanenko are presented. Dramatic career of the talented physicist is described on the historic background of dramatic period of Soviet Union. Professor Ivanenko appears as an figure of Novel level by his talent of Physicist not get recognized by part of colleagues because of his personal troublesome character and historic circumstances. The purpose of the article is to bring attention of the community to necessity of closer collaboration between scientists and state governments in front of the coming global challenges.Abstract: The biography and scientific results of the prominent Soviet-Russian physicist Dmitry Ivanenko are presented.
