Abstract: The issue of climate change represents one of the most prominent crises that the world is experiencing at the present time, which has left devastating effects on life in many regions, and international organizations and institutions have moved for it, asking the major industrialized countries to limit their activities that increase global warming. During the past years, specifically in 2021, the world witnessed a series of natural disasters, resulting from global warming and climate changes, represented by unprecedented floods, fires, avalanches, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions, and all of this resulted from an increase in global warming. Climate change is fundamentally a development issue. It threatens to exacerbate poverty rates and harm economic growth. At the same time, how different countries grow and the investments they make to meet the energy, food and water needs of their citizens either fuel climate change and increase risks around the world or contribute to finding solutions. This paper seeks to highlight the key aspects in the development and innovation to provide many important applications of nanotechnology in renewable energy systems. And the application of environmental nanotechnology solutions in climate sustainability. This paper provides a framework for addressing issues related to nanostructures, to give an overview of the role of nanotechnology in improving different sources of renewable energies, and to review current challenges to address climate change.
