Abridging over Troubled Water---Scientific Foundation of Engineering Subjects

There is a great gap between the understanding of the basic notions in scientific disciplines by scientists and engineers. Sometimes in engineering disciplines, vague notions are applied without reflection. A typical example would be the heavy use of the Dirac delta function, which is to be understood as distribution, or a naïve idea that A/D to D/A gives rise to the original data A, which is to be A’. In the previous special issue from another publisher, we collected several papers to abridge this gap. In the proposed special issue, we would like to collect papers which are either rather mathematical or more application-oriented endeavors in engineering disciplines. The papers are to be edited so that they abridge the afore-mentioned gap.02Meet the Guest Editors
