Abstract

Objective: To explore the application effect of the blended teaching training model based on error management training in the clinical skills training of emergency department nurses. Methods: 68 nurses from the emergency department of a hospital in Dalian were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group. Nurses in the control group were trained using the conventional training mode, while those in the observation group were trained using the blended teaching training model based on error management training. The theoretical and operational assessment scores, self-learning ability, and job competence of the nurses in both groups were compared after the training. Results: The theoretical assessment score (95.57±4.01) and operational assessment score (93.70±3.54) of the nurses in the observation group were significantly higher than those of the nurses in the control group (89.72 ±5.35 and 88.67±4.59, respectively). The self-learning ability of the nurses in the observation group (117.34±7.76) was significantly higher than that of the nurses in the control group (99.78±8.87). The job competence of the nurses in the observation group (129.13±21.69) was significantly higher than that of the nurses in the control group (105.58 ± 10.26). All the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion: The blended teaching training model based on error management training is helpful to improve the clinical skills, self-learning ability, and job competence of emergency department nurses, effectively enhancing the comprehensive quality of emergency department nurses, and is worthy of promotion and application in clinical practice.
